The Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, will fall on 17 September 2024. It's a time for family to gather and spend a good time together, similar to how Thanksgiving is celebrated in the West. In China, that means sharing mooncakes with your loved ones, going moon gazing and enjoying a range of festive events such as lantern riddles.
